Earthtech Laboratories NQ staff are long term residents of far North Queensland and have extensive local knowledge and experience.

Our experience covers a wide range of geotechnical, engineering, mining and environmental projects in Cairns, Tablelands, Cape York, Gulf of Carpentaria and Torres Strait areas.

The Laboratory is accredited by the National Association of Testing Authorities Australia (NATA) and is a Qld Main Roads registered CMT supplier.

We supply Main Roads and others with a wide range of soils, aggregates and concrete testing by Australian Standard and Queensland Main Roads Test methods.

The extensive experience and qualifications of staff and a comprehensive inventory allows Earthtech Laboratories NQ to offer a wide range of services to the engineering and construction industries.

Services include the following:

Laboratory testing of soils and aggregates for materials investigation and quality control
Field and laboratory testing of concrete and design of concrete mixes
Nuclear Gauge testing of pavements
Quality Control testing for civil engineering projects including earthworks, roadworks, subdivisions and commercial developments
Geotechnical Engineering testing including strength, consolidation and permeability to provide data for the design of buildings, bridges, airports, wharves, dams, pipelines, railways and mines etc

Earthtech Laboratories (NQ) is managed by Steve Turner who has 41 years’ experience in testing in the Far Northern region. He is the Nata Signatory and is assisted by 2 laboratory technicians.

Quarrying & Crushing

We have a gravel pit at Ravenshoe Quarry. These provide a full range of products, including base and sub-base unbound pavement materials for road, civil and on-site works.

Civil Construction

All of our operators and team have the appropriated tickets and licences. All staff are trained to the highest standards for customer service, safety and environmental awareness.

Haulage & Weighbridge

Everything to keep the freight and equipment moving smoothly. Whilst recognising and keeping it within all Queensland transport regulations.
