Kidner Contracting employs approx. 20 people in the Ravenshoe area and has a multi skilled workforce, trained to the highest standards, in all areas of Construction, Plant and Equipment, Project Management, Quality Assurance, Environmental Practices, Workplace Health and Safety, Workshop Maintenance, Operations and Financial.
We are committed to our younger generation currently employing one part-time (after school) Office Clerk and a Diesel Fitter apprentice full time. Also correspond with Ravenshoe High School and Mt St Bernard’s College, to give opportunities for students in years 10, 11 & 12 to place them each year for work experience within our company.
There are also three new employee apprentices training in Certificate 3 in Plant Operations. We are committed to employing local people with local knowledge, giving equal opportunities to all members of our community whether it being women at work, employees with disabilities and indigenous employees. (Kidner Contracting have two indigenous employees, which we have trained in Certificate 3 in Plant Operations, Certificate 4 in Workplace Health and Safety and Certificate 4 in Civil Construction Supervision and the other in Office Administration).
